A French tennis player, Samuel Bensoussan, has received a longer ban from playing tennis. His original ban for match-fixing was one year and eleven months.

However, after an appeal, the ban was increased significantly. He is now banned for five years. This means he cannot play professional tennis for a long time.

Bensoussan was involved in fixing both singles and doubles matches. He did this in lower-level tournaments for an organized crime group. This shows how serious match-fixing is in sports.
