Marek and Julia decided to visit Italy during their summer holiday. They chose Pisa because they wanted to see the famous Leaning Tower. They travelled by plane from Poland to Pisa. When they arrived, the weather was warm and sunny.
On the first day, Marek and Julia went to the Piazza dei Miracoli. There, they saw the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Julia took a lot of photos of Marek pretending to hold up the tower. Suddenly, an Italian man smiled and said, “Would you like me to take a picture of both of you together?” Julia answered, “Yes, please! Thank you so much.” The man took a nice photo of Marek and Julia standing in front of the Leaning Tower.
After visiting the tower, they decided to see the Pisa Cathedral. Inside, it was beautiful and quiet. They walked around and admired the old paintings and sculptures.
Later, they got hungry and went to a small restaurant nearby. Marek ordered pizza and Julia ordered pasta. While eating, they talked to a couple from Germany who were also visiting Pisa. The Germans said, “You should go to the Botanical Garden. It’s very nice and not far from here.”
So after lunch, Marek and Julia walked to the Botanical Garden of Pisa. They saw many beautiful plants and flowers. Julia said, “I love this place. It’s so peaceful.”
In the evening, they walked along the Arno River and watched the sunset. Marek said, “Today was a perfect day. I’m happy we came to Pisa.” Julia smiled and answered, “Me too. Maybe one day we can come back.”
