A Morning in Rome

Zbigniew woke up early in his small hotel in Rome. The air was warm, and the smell of fresh bread was coming through the window.

He decided to go for a short walk before starting his sightseeing. The city was already alive, and people were rushing to work.

Soon, he found a cozy cafe on the corner of a narrow street. He saw a small table outside and sat down.

A waiter came over and greeted him with a wide smile. "Buongiorno! What can I get for you?" – the waiter asked.

"One cappuccino and a croissant, please," – replied Zbigniew. He tried to use his best Italian accent.

While waiting for breakfast, Zbigniew pulled out his guidebook. He wanted to plan a visit to the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain.

The coffee was hot and delicious, exactly what he needed. He watched the scooter riders dodging cars on the street.

An older man sitting next to him started a conversation in English. "First time in Rome?" – asked the stranger.

"Yes, it is my first visit, and I like it here very much," – said Zbigniew.

The man recommended a small restaurant that was not known to tourists. "Rome has many secrets, you just have to look carefully," – he added.

Zbigniew wrote down the name of the restaurant in his notebook. He thanked the man for the kind advice.

When he finished eating, he felt full of energy for the whole day. He paid the bill and left a small tip.

The sun was shining brighter now, illuminating the old city walls. "It is going to be a wonderful day full of adventures," – Zbigniew thought.

He took his map and headed toward the great square.
